Go Chihuahua Crazy!

The Martial Arts aren't for everyone, but everyone needs to learn how to self-protect. We explain the differences and give you an overview of our curriculum. You'll learn why learning self-protection, "Chihuahua Style" is realistic and fun!

Martial Arts training incorporates the use of “fine motor skills.” As a black-belt in Tae Kwon Do, I have seen the necessity for practical “large motor” skills training when teaching non-martial arts students. Although there are never any guarantees, we certainly believe that this training will give students the edge in self protection because they will learn to react quickly, without   thinking about it. We are empowering them, by writing the “script,” so they don’t freeze. The main objective of this curriculum is; to teach children to avoid potentially dangerous situations by giving them awareness skills and teaching them to set boundaries and use their voices. Two other important components to our curriculum is sexual assault prevention and verbal defense; these areas will be addressed in future courses.

After teaching hundreds of thousands of children, what we really discovered is that they learn by being entertained. The term for this is “edu-tainment.”  After incorporating the chihuahua into our curriculum, we saw the children’s attention span increase as well as their retention rate. Kids understand that, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” It empowers them when they realize that even if they are small, they can scare off a predator with their voices and chihuahua confidence. Our curriculum does not scare children because they learn through role-play and fun games. Dr. Phil said that children are only fearful when they DON’T have options; education is empowering.
